Autumn Jernigan, MFTi
Life brings seasons of growth, change, and unexpected challenges. Whether you're seeking support for yourself, your child, or your family, therapy offers a safe and supportive space to better understand life's challenges, strengthen relationships, and move toward meaningful healing and growth.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and rooted in compassion. I recognize that every individual, child, and family has a unique story, as well as strengths that can be built upon throughout the therapeutic process. Together, we'll explore the experiences and patterns that may be contributing to current challenges while developing practical tools that foster emotional resilience, healthy communication, confidence, and lasting change. My goal is to create an environment where you feel heard, valued, and understood while meeting you exactly where you are.
I enjoy working with children, adolescents, adults, and families navigating anxiety, behavioral concerns, life transitions, relationship challenges, and emotional growth. I utilize developmentally appropriate and creative interventions that help children express themselves in ways that feel natural, engaging, and safe, while also providing a thoughtful, collaborative approach for teens and adults. My experience working within the Corvallis School District has provided me with a deeper understanding of the emotional, behavioral, and educational needs of children, including those with IEPs and 504 Plans. This experience has strengthened my appreciation for the many individual, family, school, and environmental factors that influence well-being and development across the lifespan.
I am currently a graduate student intern pursuing a Master of Arts in Marriage, Couple, and Family Counseling at George Fox University. Alongside my graduate training, I am completing coursework toward the Certificate in Play Therapy through the Northwest Center for Play Therapy Studies, an Association for Play Therapy (APT) Approved Center. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Oregon State University, where my studies focused on human development, multicultural counseling, trauma-informed care, and family systems.
It is a privilege to walk alongside individuals and families as they discover their strengths, deepen their relationships, and build the confidence and resilience to thrive. No matter what has brought you to therapy, you don't have to navigate it alone. I look forward to supporting you as you move toward greater understanding, healing, and growth.
