Deon Merten, AMFT

Our experiences and relationships shape who we are, but they don't have to define where we're going. Therapy offers an opportunity to better understand your story while creating new possibilities for growth, healing, and stronger connections.

My goal is to create a compassionate, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel comfortable exploring life's challenges. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, life transitions, or personal growth, we'll work together to better understand the patterns that have shaped your experiences while building on the strengths and resilience you already possess.

I enjoy working with individuals, couples, and families, recognizing that every person and every relationship has a unique story. My work is informed by Attachment Theory, Family Systems, Interpersonal Neurobiology, emotional regulation, and mindfulness-based practices. I believe that understanding ourselves within the context of our relationships creates opportunities for healing, greater self-awareness, and lasting change.

I strive to cultivate a therapeutic relationship built on trust, authenticity, and respect, where you feel heard, valued, and empowered throughout your journey. Whether you're seeking support as an individual, couple, or family, therapy can become a place to strengthen relationships, deepen self-understanding, and create a life that feels more balanced and connected.

No matter what has brought you to therapy, you don't have to navigate it alone. It would be a privilege to walk alongside you as you discover new possibilities, strengthen your relationships, and move toward the life you want to create.
